Sons of Pitches Workshop

15 students had a fantastic opportunity to attend a workshop with 'The Sons of Pitches' on Monday afternoon. Only around 6 schools were invited and our students got SO much out of it. 'The Sons of Pitches' are an a cappella group comprising of 6 young men who won Gareth Malone's Naked Choir series a couple of years ago.

The group performed for the students and visitors and got everyone involved with singing a song - Westfield were in charge of the bass line. We were the most enthusiastic school, if a little shy to start with. One student, Skye, volunteered to sing a solo with them and they rewarded her with their CD. All students had the chance to get autographs etc. and we're hoping to have some photos to upload soon.

We sang all the way home and there was even interest from the student to perhaps start an a cappella (unaccompanied) vocal group themselves now. The whole afternoon was very inspiring and as always, the students were a credit to our school. Thank you The Sons of Pitches. We had a great time!
