Further Improvement in GCSE Grades at Westfield Academy

Top performing students included:

Retiring Principal Chris Hunt said “This group of students were the first to face the challenge of the new style GCSEs in the majority of subjects.  They responded very well and should be delighted with the fruits of their labour. On their behalf I also thank the superb team of teachers and support staff here at Westfield Academy who have guided them so skilfully over the last 5 years.”

Incoming Headteacher Simon Dallimore said “ I wish to add my congratulations to the students and thanks to all the staff.  We wish them the very best for the future and are confident they will achieve further success.”

We have also been informed this week that former student Louis Davies, who went on to study A Levels at Strode College, has been accepted to read Natural Sciences at Robinson College, Cambridge, in the forthcoming term.

GCSE Certificates and Awards will be presented to students at the Annual Celebration Evening on Wednesday 14 November.

Open Day at Westfield Academy is on Thursday 4 October when day and evening tours will be available for prospective students and parents.  You are invited to attend this great opportunity to fully explore Westfield Academy and meet the friendly staff and students. Details for this will be available on the Academy website.
